Process to get a WES (Italian national on B permit)

Here's how I got a Swiss WES, as an Italian national. (WES is a weapons acquisition permit)

Step 1: Get an extract of the Swiss Criminal Register: https://www.e-service.admin.ch/crex/cms ... egister_en
Step 2: Print the Swiss criminal register PDF + a copy of your Italian porto d'armi, Italian passport and Swiss B permit
Step 3: Complete the request form (canton dependent) - link for AG
Step 4: Send it off and wait a few days

In my case, the first one I got was in Zurich - someone called me and asked why I was after a firearm (sports shooting), and where I planned to shoot (SSG + Tivoli). A few days later I had the WES. For Aargau, this is much quicker, and usually I get a WES within 2-3 days after requesting it.
